2016 was an amazing year in influencer marketing. The power of influencers’ engaging, authentic content caught the ad industry by storm, and it’s importance is only growing – in fact, 48% of marketers are planning on growing their influencer budget in 2017, according to a recent study in eMarketer.
Earlier this year, in an effort to make sense of this rapidly growing space, we released the ZEFR 100. The ZEFR 100 was the first quantitative analysis of the top influencers across all social platforms, based on the average engagement of every influencer. We view engagement as the most important metric in social – as it’s about how many people interact with a piece of content, not how many people saw it.
To round out 2016, we’re excited to showcase ZEFR’s Influencer Year in Review. It highlights the digital native influencers who saw the most cross-platform engagement in 2016, that every brand should know about. Powered by ZEFR’s IMS data, we looked at the Top 10 influencers overall, as well as the top influencers within key verticals: Auto, Tech, Beauty, Family, Food.
We want to congratulate every creator on this list for an amazing 2016.
